The Clamcleat CL231 Midi Nylon Rope Cleat is a strong, lightweight, and versatile cleat designed for ropes from 4–8mm. Moulded from durable black nylon, it features an integral fairlead that guides the rope smoothly into the teeth from angles of up to 90°, ensuring easy engagement and reliable grip.
Its compact shape and matching hole centres make it directly interchangeable with the CL209 (nylon) and CL254 (aluminium) models, both of which share the same mounting pattern. The CL231 can be securely fitted to flat or curved surfaces using bolts or screws, making installation simple across a wide range of applications.
Commonly used for sunshade tensioning, dinghy control lines, and general outdoor rigging, the CL231 provides excellent performance and value where a fairlead is preferred for easier rope handling.
