Petersen shackles are produced from 316L grade stainless steel; using electrical upset forging technique, to ensure that the grain flows around the shackle head to give maximum strength. This gives the Petersen shackles a high corrosion resistance and excellent fatigue strength.
Shake proof pins reduce the vibration of the pin, to reduce the risk of the pin shaking loose from the shackle.
