Petersen shackles are produced from 316L grade stainless steel; using electrical upset forging technique, to ensure that the grain flows around the shackle head to give maximum strength. This gives the Petersen shackles a high corrosion resistance and excellent fatigue strength.
The socket pin allows the pin to sit flush with the shackle, reducing the risk of snagging.
