The SailProof Marine Display 13.3" is a sunlight-readable remote cockpit display, designed to bring navigation, weather and performance data from the chart table directly into the cockpit. It is not a chartplotter or standalone computer, but a high-brightness, waterproof touchscreen that mirrors your onboard PC or compatible navigation system.
Sitting between the compact 10" display and the flagship 15.6" model, the 13.3" version offers an excellent balance of screen size and installation flexibility, making it ideal for a wide range of sailing yachts.
Designed for PC-Based Navigation & Onboard Systems
The SailProof Marine Display 13.3" is ideally suited to sailors using PC-based navigation and performance software such as OpenCPN, Time Zero MaxSea, Adrena, Expedition, Coastal Explorer, PC Plotter and similar platforms.
Installed as a second screen connected to the computer at the chart table, it allows charts, weather overlays and performance data to be monitored directly from the cockpit — improving situational awareness and reducing the need to leave the helm, particularly when sailing short-handed or offshore.
Sunlight-Readable Display with Automatic Dimming
The 13.3" LCD panel delivers 1200 nits of brightness, providing excellent readability in direct sunlight while maintaining efficient power use. An integrated ambient light sensor enables automatic dimming, allowing the display to adapt seamlessly from bright daylight to night sailing conditions.
With a minimum brightness of just 10 nits, the display remains usable at night without compromising night vision. A contrast ratio of 800:1 and wide 178° / 178° viewing angles ensure consistent clarity from anywhere in the cockpit.
Touchscreen Optimised for Marine Conditions
The capacitive touchscreen is specifically configured for real-world marine use and includes:
- Anti-glare surface to reduce reflections
- Wet-touch capability for reliable operation in spray or rain
- Dedicated hardware button to disable touch input
The ability to switch off the touch function is particularly valuable in rough conditions, preventing accidental inputs caused by water or wave impact.
IP67 Waterproof Fixed Installation
With an IP67 waterproof rating, the SailProof Marine Display 13.3" offers a high level of protection against water ingress, including heavy spray, washdown and temporary immersion. This makes it well suited to exposed cockpit installations and demanding offshore sailing environments.
Like all SailProof fixed displays, it is designed for permanent bulkhead or cockpit mounting, providing a secure, professional installation that avoids the risks associated with portable tablets and unsecured devices on deck.
Wide Operating System & Device Compatibility
The display supports a broad range of operating systems, making integration into existing onboard systems straightforward:
- Windows XP, 7, 8, 8.1, 10 and 11
- Linux
Video and touch input are handled via HDMI and USB-A, allowing easy connection to onboard PCs, mini-PCs or embedded systems. The HDMI connection is also compatible with Garmin GPSMAP devices, enabling the display to be used as a large external chart display for compatible Garmin systems.
Marine-Grade Cable Options
Cables are not supplied as standard, allowing installations to be tailored to the yacht. Optional cable sets are available in 5-metre or 8-metre lengths, each featuring waterproof connections at the display end:

- DC power cable
This approach supports clean, professional installations, particularly on larger yachts where longer cable runs are required.
