Integrated within the drum assembly, the Furlassist system provides controlled, progressive resistance during furling, helping crews manage heavy sail loads with greater confidence and reduced physical effort.

On larger yachts carrying substantial Code sails or heavy cruising gennakers, the Furlassist ratchet plays an important role in stabilising drum rotation and limiting uncontrolled backspin when furling under tension. This results in smoother operation, improved safety, and more consistent sail handling in demanding conditions.
