The Profurl NEX 4.0V2 Furlassist Ratchet is a retrofit drum upgrade designed to improve furling control on mid- to high-load Profurl NEX V2 flying sail furlers. Integrated directly into the drum assembly, the Furlassist mechanism introduces progressive resistance during furling, helping to smooth drum rotation and reduce the effort required when rolling sails away under load.

When furling larger Code sails or cruising gennakers, the Furlassist ratchet helps stabilise the drum and limit unwanted backspin, providing more predictable and controlled furling in a wider range of conditions. Rather than locking the drum, the system supports continuous rotation while assisting the crew in managing higher line loads.
