The Clamcleat CL223 Nylon Loop Rope Cleat is a lightweight, corrosion-proof cleat designed for quick and easy rope tensioning. Rigged directly onto a rope, it provides a secure hold that’s simple to adjust and release — ideal for use aboard small boats, for covers, control lines, and general-purpose tensioning.
Recently re-engineered, the updated CL223 design is:
- Slightly shorter and higher for improved ergonomics.
- No heavier, but with increased strength in key areas.
- Featuring a wider tooth opening for easier rope entry.
- More comfortable in hand, with smoother edges and better rope access.
- Offering deeper clearance beneath the cleat for knot seating and easier threading.
Made from UV-stable, outdoor-grade nylon, the CL223 is completely corrosion resistant and available in two standard colours:
- CL223 – Black Nylon
- CL223W – White Nylon
Perfect for tensioning lines on sail covers, awnings, and onboard canvas structures, or for lightweight rope systems on sailing dinghies and yachts.
