The Morfrac powerfurl.[four] furler is a high-performance, modular furling unit engineered for yachts requiring a Safe Working Load (SWL) of up to 4.5 tonnes. Compact, efficient, and built for reliability, it combines advanced machining with versatile attachment options to suit a wide range of rigging configurations.
Manufactured from hard-anodised 6082 aluminium alloy, the drum and swivelhead are CNC-machined for precision and strength, while internal bearing races and Torlon®/stainless steel hybrid bearing sets ensure smooth furling under load. The powerfurl.[four] is optimised for use with code sails, staysails, or gennakers and is suitable for racing or performance cruising yachts up to approximately 45–50 feet LOA.

- Bare Drum & Swivelhead (No Attachments) – For custom rigging setups where fittings are provided separately.
- Shackle Attachment (Drum and Swivel) – Includes forged stainless steel shackles on both ends, each certified to the full 4.5t SWL of the furler. Unlike most furling systems where shackles are rated well below the furler’s load capacity, Morfrac ensures consistent structural integrity across the entire system—eliminating the “fuse link” issue and maintaining confidence in the furler’s stated performance.
- Mixed Fitting (Shackle + Lash) – One end fitted with a shackle, the other with a lash eyelet. Ideal for hybrid installation preferences (e.g. shackle at tack, lashing at head).
- Double Lash Fittings – Lash eyelets on both drum and swivelhead for full textile integration and weight reduction.
Compatible terminal kits, deck mounting accessories, and top-down adapters are available separately to complete your furling system.
