Added to the Coastal package, the nke High Frequency GPS gives Speed over Ground (S.O.G.) and Course Over Ground (C.O.G.)
On all packages with compass and Multigraphic display, the GPS package provides detailed current calculations (in addition to S.O.G and C.O.G). It measures the position several times per second to enhance the accuracy of the recorded track and of the plotted course marks. It also gives accurate real time information, such as distance to the start line and time to burn.
