The Clamcleat CL268 Racing Micros Aluminium Rope Cleat is a small, lightweight, and exceptionally strong alloy cleat designed for fine control of small-diameter ropes. Its built-in fairlead guides the rope smoothly into the teeth, while Clamcleat’s advanced tooth geometry ensures a secure grip across all rope types — even high-tech, low-stretch lines.
Ideal applications include canoe seat and rudder lines, dinghy control lines, and kitesurfing 5th line adjustments, where low weight and reliable performance are critical.
Manufactured from marine-grade aluminium, the CL268 combines long-term durability with precision rope handling and is available in two finishes:
- CL268 – Silver stove-enamel finish for a cost-effective, high-quality surface, suitable for inland and most coastal use.
- CL268AN – Hard-anodised finish for maximum abrasion resistance in extreme coastal or high-salt environments.
When fitting to carbon fibre tubes, use a barrier compound or Clamcleat PT425/426 Insulators to prevent galvanic corrosion.
