Plastimo

The Plastimo flushmount safety ladder is a fixed transom boarding ladder, recessed into the hull so it stays permanently deployable rather than needing to be located and rigged after someone has already gone over the side. Fixed ladders answer a specific failure mode in man-overboard recovery: a portable ladder stowed on deck is no use to the person in the water until someone else deploys it. Mounting geometry — crook angle and rung depth below the waterline — determines whether it actually reaches from a given transom.
