The Karver KFR3.0 V3 Large Drum Furler Set (Racing Version) is specifically designed for racing boats from 39 to 45 feet that require greater furling power for larger Code Zero sails and high-load applications. Based on the Karver KFR3.0 V3 Furler (Racing Version), this large drum model delivers the enhanced torque and durability needed to perform under the demands of competitive sailing.
This version features a carbon casing on the drum, ensuring lightweight construction with added strength to handle higher loads. The carbon/Kevlar® continuous line wheel further enhances durability while maintaining a superior strength-to-weight ratio for smooth and efficient furling, even in challenging conditions.
The large drum configuration increases torque, making it easier to furl larger sails, especially in heavy winds or during high-stress manoeuvres. A 3:1 friction sheave comes fitted as standard, optimised for tack line management, giving racers the control and flexibility necessary for deploying and furling high-performance sails such as Code Zeros and asymmetric spinnakers.
The KFR3.0 V3 Large Drum Furler retains all the other essential features of the KF V3 range, including the reinforced ABS casing with K-Krok impact resistance technology, a remote locking mechanism for the drum for precise furling control, and a K-Krok protected swivel that ensures long-lasting reliability in racing environments.
