Unimer Mooring Line Compensator for 12–16mm Lines
Reliable mooring protection for mid-sized yachts and cruisers
The Unimer Standard Mooring Line Compensator for 12–16mm lines offers proven performance and durability for medium-sized sailing yachts and motorboats. Designed to absorb the dynamic loads caused by wind, waves, and tidal movement, it reduces shock on cleats, bollards, and mooring lines — ensuring quieter, more secure berthing.
Durable and maintenance-free design
Manufactured from high-quality, UV-resistant natural rubber, the compensator is built to withstand continuous exposure to sunlight, seawater, and ozone. Its one-piece, tangle-free construction provides smooth, progressive resistance to tension — softening gentle movements while maintaining strong, elastic control under heavy loads. Installation is quick and straightforward, requiring no tools or additional fittings.
Ideal for regular mooring in varied conditions
This 12–16mm model is the most versatile size in the Standard range, suited to yachts and cruisers typically between 35 and 45 feet. It offers a balance of strength and elasticity ideal for both marina berths and more exposed mooring sites, where reliable line damping helps prevent wear and damage.
Compared to other Unimer models
Within the Unimer range, the Standard Compensator remains the most popular all-round solution:
-
The Inline and Classic models are lighter alternatives for smaller boats or limited storage.
-
The U-Cleat adds quick-fit flexibility, ideal when swapping between lines.
-
The Smart Snubber provides a compact, temporary damping solution for short-term mooring or travelling yachts.
