Spinlock Deckvest 6D Lifejacket – 275N
The Spinlock Deckvest 6D 275N is a high-buoyancy offshore lifejacket harness designed for demanding sailing conditions, where maximum flotation performance and reliable deck safety are essential. Built on Spinlock’s proven Deckvest platform, the 6D combines ergonomic comfort, durable construction, and integrated safety features in a streamlined lifejacket suitable for offshore passages and challenging environments.
With 275N buoyancy, this model provides increased flotation compared to standard offshore lifejackets. The additional buoyancy can be beneficial for larger users, sailors wearing heavy foul weather clothing, or those carrying tools and equipment on deck. It can also help turn an unconscious casualty face-up more quickly and hold the wearer’s head higher above the water.
The Deckvest 6D incorporates an integrated ISO-approved deck harness with a soft loop safety line attachment point, allowing sailors to securely connect a tether while moving around the deck. This version provides a robust and reliable harness solution without the Harness Release System (HRS) found on other models in the range. For users who prefer a traditional tether connection system, this configuration offers simplicity while maintaining full harness certification.
Automatic inflation is provided by the UML Pro Sensor Elite inflator system. This compact water-sensitive mechanism uses a compressed capsule that dissolves when submerged, releasing a spring that punctures the CO₂ cylinder and inflates the lifejacket. The inflator is designed so that only water entering from below will activate the mechanism, preventing accidental inflation from rain, spray, or water running down the jacket.
A full suite of integrated safety features is included as standard. The Deckvest 6D is fitted with Spinlock’s Pylon™ 360° lifejacket light and Lume-On™ bladder illumination lights to significantly improve visibility during night-time or low-light rescue situations. A redesigned sprayhood with a large clear structured visor can be quickly deployed to help reduce the risk of secondary drowning.
The lifejacket is designed for long-term comfort and durability. The enhanced shoulder fit system and smooth body adjuster allow the lifejacket to be quickly and securely fitted, ensuring a consistent fit over varying clothing layers. Hard-wearing coated fabrics reinforce high-wear areas, while the improved back profile creates a clean, unobtrusive fit. The inflation firing system is positioned at the rear of the bladder for improved comfort and reduced snagging.
Additional practical features include an extra-wide 40mm single leg strap with a stowage pocket, tidy strap management, compatibility with the Ocean Signal MOB1 AIS beacon, and a toggle attachment point for the optional Spinlock Chest Pack.
The Spinlock Deckvest 6D 275N is available in two colour options: Mercury Red and Black. Through Spinlock’s Through Life Support programme, product registration extends the warranty to five years.
