Spinlock Deckvest 6D HRS Lifejacket – 275N

The Spinlock Deckvest 6D HRS 275N is a premium offshore lifejacket harness designed for demanding sailing conditions where maximum buoyancy and tether safety are required. Combining Spinlock’s proven Deckvest comfort and ergonomics with the innovative Harness Release System (HRS™), the 6D provides sailors with enhanced flotation, improved fit, and the ability to quickly release themselves from a safety line in an emergency.

With 275N buoyancy, this model is particularly suited to offshore sailors wearing heavy foul weather gear, larger users, or those carrying additional equipment on deck. The increased buoyancy can help turn an unconscious casualty face-up more quickly and hold the head higher above the water, offering additional reassurance in extreme conditions.

The Deckvest 6D HRS incorporates an integrated ISO-approved deck harness with Spinlock’s Harness Release System (HRS™). This innovative design features a soft loop tether attachment point with a release handle located directly behind it. In the event that a sailor becomes trapped or dragged while clipped onto the boat, pulling the handle releases the soft loop attachment and separates the wearer from the safety line. The system is designed to be simple, reliable, and easily reset after activation while meeting ISO12402 deck harness requirements.

Automatic inflation is provided by the UML Pro Sensor Elite inflator system. This compact water-sensitive mechanism uses a compressed capsule that dissolves when submerged, releasing a spring that punctures the CO₂ cylinder and inflates the lifejacket. The inflator is engineered so that only water flowing upwards through the mechanism activates it, preventing inflation from rain, spray, or water running down the jacket.

The Deckvest 6D is equipped with a comprehensive range of integrated safety features. A Pylon™ 360° lifejacket light and Lume-On™ bladder illumination lights are fitted as standard to enhance visibility during night-time or low-light rescue situations. The improved sprayhood design features a large clear structured visor and is stored away from the neck for greater comfort until needed.

Designed for extended wear, the Deckvest 6D uses an enhanced shoulder fit system and smooth body adjuster that allows the lifejacket to be fitted securely over different layers of clothing. Hard-wearing coated fabrics reinforce key wear areas, while the improved back profile creates a clean, unobtrusive fit. The inflation system is positioned at the rear of the bladder to reduce snagging and improve comfort when worn on deck.

Additional features include an extra-wide 40mm single leg strap with a dedicated stowage pocket, tidy strap management, compatibility with the Ocean Signal MOB1 AIS beacon, and a toggle attachment point for the optional Spinlock Chest Pack.

The Spinlock Deckvest 6D HRS 275N is available in two colour options: Mercury Red and Black. Product registration through Spinlock’s Through Life Support programme extends the warranty to five years.
