Rutgerson Battcar Slide 16mm x 19.5mm with M10 Thread
The Rutgerson Battcar Slide is designed to make a fully battened mainsail easier to hoist and lower. Its wheeled construction provides smooth movement along the mast while requiring minimal maintenance.
Manufactured from high-strength composite, the slide combines low weight with excellent strength and resistance to the marine environment. A corrosion-resistant stainless-steel M10 threaded adaptor provides a secure connection to compatible Rutgerson batten fittings.
This model has a 16mm wide slide profile and larger 19.5mm diameter wheels. The slide profile is the retaining section that runs inside the mast groove, making it essential to select the correct profile and wheel configuration for the particular mast section.
The M10 threaded attachment is compatible with Rutgerson batten fittings 1580, 1587, 1590, 1595, 1596 and 1597.
Compatibility should always be confirmed using the mast manufacturer and exact mast-section reference rather than solely by the boat’s make, model or length. If the mast section is not shown in Rutgerson’s selection guide, advice should be obtained from Rutgerson or an authorised distributor before ordering.
Boat size, sail area, rig configuration and expected loads should also be considered when choosing a Battcar. Rutgerson’s boat-size recommendations are general guidance based on standard monohulls cruising in average conditions. For installations requiring the smaller 15.5mm wheels, choose 1530-16-05.
