Rutgerson Battcar High Load Slide 23mm x 15.5mm with M10 Thread
The Rutgerson High Load Battcar Slide is designed for fully battened mainsails and more demanding installations where greater load capacity is required. Its wheeled construction provides smooth movement along the mast, making the mainsail easier to hoist and lower while requiring minimal maintenance.
Manufactured from high-strength composite, the slide combines excellent strength with low weight and resistance to the marine environment. A corrosion-resistant stainless-steel M10 threaded adaptor provides a secure connection to compatible Rutgerson batten fittings.
This model has a 23mm wide slide profile and 15.5mm diameter wheels. The slide profile is the retaining section that runs inside the mast groove, making it essential to select the correct profile for the particular mast section.
The M10 threaded attachment is compatible with Rutgerson batten fittings 1580, 1587, 1590, 1595, 1596 and 1597.
Rutgerson lists this 23mm profile as equivalent to the Holt Allen HA91 and for selected mast sections from Sparcraft, John Mast and Z-Spars. Compatibility should always be confirmed using the mast manufacturer and exact mast-section reference rather than solely by the boat’s make, model or length. For Sparcraft S830 masts, Rutgerson specifies the 23mm profile for masts manufactured from 2015 onwards; earlier versions use the 11mm profile.
Boat size, sail area, rig configuration and expected loads should all be considered when choosing a Battcar. This high-load model has approximate breaking loads of 900kg in push and 575kg in pull; these figures are breaking loads and must not be treated as safe working loads.
The standard-load version with 15.5mm wheels is 1530-23-05. Models with larger 19.5mm wheels are available as standard-load 1531-23-05 and high-load 1536-23-05.
