Polyform Norway V40 Replacement Valve
The Polyform Norway V40 Replacement Valve is a genuine replacement valve for the largest Polyform Norway inflatable fenders and buoys fitted with the V-40 valve system.
Larger than the more widely used V-10 valve, the V-40 is specifically designed for Polyform's high-volume inflatable products where straightforward inflation and deflation are particularly important. Unlike the V-10, the V-40 is not a non-return valve and uses a large central valve screw to open and close the air passage.
For inflation, the V-40 valve screw is loosened approximately 3–4 turns using a 17mm socket, without completely removing the screw. Air is then introduced through the centre hole in the valve screw. Once the fender or buoy has been inflated to the correct pressure, the screw is tightened again to close and seal the valve.
The replacement V-40 provides a solution where the original valve has become damaged or is no longer sealing correctly, allowing an otherwise serviceable Polyform fender or buoy to remain in use.
Which Polyform Fenders Use the V40 Valve?
The V-40 is used on the largest models within the Polyform Norway A-Series and F-Series ranges.
This replacement valve is suitable for:
- Polyform A6
- Polyform A7
- Polyform F13
Smaller Polyform A-Series and F-Series products, together with the G-Series utility fenders, generally use the smaller V-10 valve and are therefore not compatible with this V-40 replacement.
