Harken 57mm Carbo Air T2 Single Block
The Harken 57mm Carbo Air T2 Single Block is a lightweight soft-attach block designed for efficient running rigging systems where strength, low friction and minimal weight are essential. As part of the Carbo Air T2 range, it uses Harken’s innovative composite construction that removes metal shackles and rivets, resulting in a strong yet extremely lightweight block.
This standard T2 single block is supplied with a length of high-strength lashing line, allowing sailors to splice, tie or lash the block directly to padeyes, deck fittings or rigging points. This style of soft attachment creates a very low-profile connection while allowing the block to align naturally with the load, improving efficiency and reducing friction in the system.
The 57mm composite sheave runs on low-friction bearings and is suitable for lines up to 11mm, making it well suited to higher-load control systems such as mainsheets, vangs and purchase systems on dinghies and performance sailing yachts.
Despite weighing just 57g, the block delivers a maximum working load of 359kg, offering an excellent strength-to-weight ratio for modern lightweight rigging setups.
