Harken 29mm Carbo Air T2 Double Block
The Harken 29mm Carbo Air T2 Double Block is a compact, ultra-lightweight soft-attach block designed for small control line purchase systems where minimal weight and low friction are essential. As part of Harken’s Carbo Air T2 range, it uses a fully composite construction that eliminates metal shackles and rivets, producing a strong block with an exceptionally low weight.
This double-sheave block is supplied with high-strength lashing line, allowing it to be spliced, tied or lashed directly to padeyes, deck fittings or rigging points. The soft-attachment method keeps the installation extremely low profile while allowing the block to align naturally with the load, improving efficiency and reducing friction in the system.
The twin 29mm composite sheaves run on low-friction bearings and are suitable for lines up to 8mm. This makes the block ideal for compact multi-part purchase systems used in control lines, cascades and other lightly loaded running rigging systems on dinghies and performance sailing yachts.
Despite weighing just 23.5g, the block offers a maximum working load of 272kg, providing an excellent strength-to-weight ratio for modern lightweight rigging systems.
