As most small boats are not equiped to handle a 2:1 halyard purchase system, the KFH lock used in conjunction with a 2:1 purchase at the tack offers a flexible, high performance solution for light genoa's. The sail is hoisted into the lock at the head and then the luff is tensioned using a 2:1 or 3:1 purchase at the tack. This easy to retrofit and install, compact and lightweight lock is based on Karvers tried and tested KFH furling lock and has been proven at sea to be reliable and efficient. N.B. The recommended Hoist line is optimal sizing and will be smaller than a existing halyard. The maximum hoist line size for the KHL8 is 9.5mm
