What is Dyneema® SK38?
Dyneema® SK38 is a cost-effective, modern HMPE (High Modulus Polyethylene) fibre that provides the core benefits of Dyneema® technology: low stretch, high strength, and lightweight performance. While it has a slightly higher stretch and lower tensile strength compared to premium Dyneema® grades like SK78 or SK99, it is a significant upgrade over traditional polyester ropes. This makes it an ideal choice for performance cruisers and club racers who want low-stretch halyards and sheets without the additional cost of elite race rope.
