Clamcleat CL211 Mk2 Racing Junior Aluminium Rope Cleat for 3–6mm Lines
The Clamcleat CL211 Mk2 Racing Junior Aluminium Rope Cleat is a neat, compact, and highly versatile cleat used across sailing, kitesurfing, sports, and industrial applications. Manufactured from lightweight, durable aluminium, it provides a secure, positive grip for ropes from 3–6mm and is ideal for halyards and control lines on dinghies, kayaks, and other small craft.
The integrated fairlead guides the rope cleanly into the teeth for fast engagement and easy release, while the contoured base allows fitting to both curved and flat surfaces.
For fine-tuned rope alignment, the CL819 Tapered Pad can be used to mount the cleat at an angle, reducing rope wear. To enhance function and versatility, optional accessories include the CL815 Keeper (to keep the rope in or out of the cleat) and CL817 Cage (rear fairlead for extra control).
Two finishes are available:
- CL211 Mk2 – Silver stove-enamel finish for a cost-effective, high-quality surface.
- CL211 Mk2AN – Hard-anodised finish providing superior wear resistance and protection, especially recommended for use on carbon spars.
When fitted to carbon fibre, galvanic corrosion can be prevented by using PT420/21 Insulators between the cleat and spar.
This model’s compact size and robust performance have made it popular well beyond sailing: it is used in landfill cover systems to secure tensioned membranes, and in windsurfing (including X-Booms) to tension outhaul lines or as a cut-down cleat on boom tails.
