Antal 4Race 150 Traveller Car – 3:1 Control (Part No. 4153)
The Antal 4Race 150 Traveller Car – 3:1 Control is designed for yachts in the 36–42 ft range, running on the 31x21mm 4Race track. It is intended for use with the Antal 4Race 110–190 End Control – Double Sheave (Part No. 4274) to create a 3:1 purchase traveller system that combines powerful trimming capability with quick, precise adjustment.
Each end of the car is fitted with one sheave and one becket. In a standard 3:1 configuration, the control line is dead-ended on the becket at the car, led forward around the first sheave on the end control, back to the sheave on the car, and then forward again to the second sheave on the end control before exiting through the cam cleat. This arrangement delivers mechanical advantage while maintaining a compact, efficient layout.
The car is also set up to accept the Antal OPF 80 Single Block, providing a strong, low-profile, shackle-free connection to the mainsheet or control line system.
Built from hard anodised aluminium for maximum strength and corrosion resistance, the car runs on four independent ball bearing circuits — two Torlon® (lower) for high-load capacity and two Delrin® (upper) for smooth, low-resistance movement. Side windows make it easy to inspect, clean, or replace bearings, ensuring long-term performance.
