The enhanced shoulder fit system and smooth body adjustment allow the lifejacket to be quickly and securely fitted, ensuring a consistent and comfortable fit regardless of clothing layers.
The Deckvest 6D incorporates an integrated ISO-approved deck harness with a soft loop safety line attachment point, allowing the wearer to securely connect a tether when working on deck. For sailors who prefer a more traditional harness setup, this version of the Deckvest 6D provides the safety and reliability of a certified harness without the additional Harness Release System found on other models in the range.
Automatic inflation is provided by the UML Pro Sensor Elite inflator system. This water-sensitive activation system uses a compressed capsule that dissolves when submerged, releasing a spring that punctures the 33g CO₂ cylinder and inflates the lifejacket. The inflator is designed so that only water entering the unit from below will activate the mechanism, preventing inflation from rain or spray running down the jacket.
The Deckvest 6D is equipped with a range of integrated safety features designed to enhance visibility and survival time in the water. A Pylon™ 360° lifejacket light and Lume-On™ bladder illumination lights are fitted as standard, making it easier for rescuers to locate the wearer in low light or darkness. A redesigned sprayhood with a large clear structured visor can be quickly deployed and helps reduce the risk of secondary drowning.
Durability and comfort are key design priorities. Hard-wearing coated fabrics reinforce high-wear areas, while the improved back profile ensures a clean, unobtrusive fit against the body. The inflation firing system is positioned at the rear of the bladder to improve comfort and reduce snagging while worn on deck.
Additional practical details include an extra-wide 40mm single leg strap with a dedicated stowage pocket, tidy strap management, compatibility with the Ocean Signal MOB1 AIS beacon, and an attachment point for the optional Spinlock Chest Pack.
The Spinlock Deckvest 6D 170N is available in five colour options: Citrus Yellow, Mercury Red, Pacific Blue, Tropic White, and Black. Product registration through Spinlock’s Through Life Support programme extends the warranty to five years.
