Ronstan Series 60 Furler – Top Swivel (RS006010A)
The Ronstan Series 60 Top Swivel is a lightweight, high-efficiency component designed to complement the Series 60 bottom-up furling system. Positioned at the head of the sail, it plays a critical role in ensuring smooth, reliable rotation during furling and unfurling, working in harmony with the matching drum and continuous furling line.
Constructed with a glass fibre-reinforced thermoplastic body, the swivel keeps weight aloft to an absolute minimum—an important consideration for maintaining sailing performance on smaller boats. Despite its low weight, it delivers excellent strength and durability, making it well suited to dinghies, multihulls, and sportsboats up to 6m (20ft).
Inside, free-running stainless steel bearings and ball races minimise friction under load, allowing the sail to furl quickly and evenly without binding. This ensures consistent, controlled operation whether furling under load or deploying the sail.
A highly polished stainless steel rope guide further reduces friction and minimises wear on the furling line, helping to maintain long-term system performance. The swivel’s compact, low-profile design also supports maximum luff length, allowing you to get the most from your sail area.
Designed to integrate seamlessly with the Series 60 furling drum and pre-spliced continuous furling line, the top swivel is an essential component for a smooth and efficient bottom-up furling setup.
