Harken 57mm Carbo Air T2 Ratchamatic® Block
The Harken 57mm Carbo Air T2 Ratchamatic® Block combines the lightweight soft-attach design of the T2 range with Harken’s proven automatic ratchet technology. The Ratchamatic system engages the ratchet automatically as load increases and disengages when the load drops, allowing the block to run freely without the need for manual switching.
Built using Harken’s composite T2 construction, the block eliminates metal shackles and rivets to keep weight low while maintaining excellent strength and durability. It is supplied with high-strength lashing line for soft attachment, allowing the block to be securely lashed, spliced or tied directly onto padeyes, traveller cars or rigging points. This type of attachment keeps the installation compact and allows the block to align naturally with the load.
The 57mm sheave is suitable for lines up to 10mm and delivers strong holding power when the ratchet engages, reducing the effort required to hold loaded sheets or control lines. Despite weighing just 71g, the block offers a safe working load of 227kg, making it well suited to a wide range of running rigging systems.
This block is particularly effective in mainsheet systems, spinnaker sheets and control line setups on dinghies and sailing yachts where additional grip and control are required without adding unnecessary weight.
