Harken 40mm Carbo Air T2 Loop Block
The Harken 40mm Carbo Air T2 Loop Block is a lightweight soft-attach block designed for sailors who want quick fitting, easy removal and minimal hardware aloft. Unlike the standard 40mm T2 single block, which is supplied with Spectra line for tying, splicing or lashing into place, the T2 Loop version uses Harken’s on/off loop system with a removable Dyneema loop. This makes it particularly useful where you want the advantages of a soft attachment but with faster installation and removal.
Built around Harken’s high-strength composite T2 design, this block has no metal shackles or rivets, helping to keep weight down to just 25g while still offering a maximum working load of 220kg. The 40mm sheave runs on low-friction bearings and is suitable for lines up to 10mm, making it ideal for compact control systems where low weight and efficient line handling are important.
For sailing yachts and performance dinghies alike, this block works well in traveller controls, mainsheet and vang systems, cascades, bridles and other lightly loaded running rigging applications. The quick-change loop attachment is the key point of difference here: it allows the block to be fitted or removed quickly without the need to re-lash or re-splice a soft attachment.
