Harken 57mm Carbo Air T2 Loop Block
The Harken 57mm Carbo Air T2 Loop Block is a lightweight soft-attach block designed for sailors who want quick installation, easy removal and minimal hardware weight. As the largest size in the T2 Loop range, it offers greater load capacity and line handling while maintaining the same simple, efficient soft-attachment concept.
Unlike the standard 57mm T2 single block, which is supplied with lashing line for a more permanent attachment, the T2 Loop version uses Harken’s removable Dyneema loop system. This allows the block to be fitted or removed quickly without re-lashing or re-splicing, making it ideal where blocks may need to be repositioned or removed between uses.
The block is built using Harken’s composite T2 construction, eliminating metal shackles and rivets to reduce weight while maintaining excellent strength. The 57mm composite sheave runs on low-friction bearings, ensuring smooth operation and efficient load transfer in running rigging systems.
Despite weighing just 59g, the block offers a maximum working load of 359kg and is suitable for lines up to 11mm. This makes it a versatile choice for mainsheet systems, vangs, control line purchases and other running rigging applications on dinghies and sailing yachts where weight reduction and efficiency are priorities.
