The Antal Soft Attach Pad Eye for 5mm Line is a lightweight, low-profile deck fitting designed specifically for use with textile connectors such as loops, strops, or lashings. Engineered for strength and versatility, it provides a secure soft attachment point while minimising weight and eliminating metal-to-metal wear. With a Safe Working Load (SWL) of 600 kg, it is ideal for small control lines, blocks, and deck hardware attachment.
Manufactured from high-strength, hard anodised aluminium, the pad eye features smooth, rounded edges to protect ropes and optimise load distribution. The wide, recessed central groove ensures strops or lashings remain perfectly aligned under load, reducing chafe and improving durability.
Two installation variants are available:
- Screw/Bolt Fixing – secured using countersunk fasteners through the pad eye, visible from the top.
- Stud Fixing – supplied with threaded studs integrated into the base, passing through the deck and tightened from below. This creates a flush, snag-free top profile with no visible fastener heads.
Both versions provide a robust, maintenance-free attachment point designed for modern textile rigging solutions.
