The Karver K SNAP KF4.5–6.0 is a retrofit snap shackle designed to upgrade existing Karver KF4.5 or KF6.0 V3 furlers, replacing either a 3:1 friction sheave or lashing eye with a flexible, dual-purpose fitting. This is the same K Snap installed on the Standard versions of both furlers and is now available separately for retrofit applications.

Two Functions – One Smart Design

The K Snap combines two rigging options into a single robust fitting:

• Standard Snap Shackle Mode – Securely attaches the furler to a fixed deck point or chainplate.
• 2:1 Purchase Mode – Allows a tack line to pass through the integrated sheave for a 2:1 mechanical advantage, ideal for improving sail tension and control.

This added versatility is particularly useful for larger boats where line loads are high and precise control over sail shape is critical.

Installation Guidance
