Ronstan Swivel Cleat Bases provide easy cleating and releasing from any angle. The aluminium arm allows 360˚ rotation and the deadeyes have flared stainless steel liners for minimum rope wear and long service life. The cleating plates are heavy guage alloy for stiffness and minimum distortion under load. The alloy cleating arm is supported by twin rows of ball bearings and its height and angle can be adjusted for optimum control. Stops are provided to limit travel to 260° but can be removed to allow full 360° rotation. An adjustable ratchet in the fibre-reinforced nylon base allows the cleating arm to remain in its most recently used position. The ratchet can be turned off for free swivelling and the cleat mounting can be converted for downward release action. The swivel fork has a 5mm pin and 11.8mm gap to permit direct, low profile attachment to the head post of a block (i.e. not using the shackle).The RF7 suits traditional post/shackle head blocks and Dyneema® link head Orbit Blocks™. The RF7 includes a medium C-Cleat™ & fairlead. Installation requires 4 x 5mm screws (not supplied).
