The NEX-E from Profurl is an electrically driven Code 0 ("Code Zero") or top-down gennaker furler for easy retrofitting. It is available in two sizes 4.0 and 8.0 for sails up to approx. 250sqm. The design with the integrated carrying handle and the rubber armouring is practice-oriented and appealing.

If required, the NEX-E is attached to an eye on the bow in the same way as manual Code 0 furlers. A robust, 2m long supply cable connects the NEX-E 8.0 to the on-board power supply. The motor power is 800 W.

COMFORT AND SAFETY

Manoeuvring with large sails such as asymmetric spinnakers can prove dangerous, especially with a small crew. The NEXe enables safe and effortless use and manoeuvring with these sails. The furling and unfurling of the sail is easily done using a remote control to stop the manoeuvre immediately. The self-locking mechanism prevents accidental unrolling of the sail.

EFFICIENCY AND RELIABILITY:

The NEX-E has a motor specially selected for large gennakers and code zeros. Furling usually takes less than 40 seconds.

EASE OF USE

The NEX-E is designed to be easy and safe to use. Rubber protection on the aft edge of the housing protects it from impact and allows it to be set down cleanly. The stainless steel snap shackle, supplied as standard, allows quick attachment. The power cable is sheathed with the high-tech fibre Technora and equipped with an IP67 plug. It can be operated with a radio remote control or a cable-connected control unit (not included).

ROBUSTNESS AND DURABILITY

The construction and materials of the NEX-E ensure durability and robustness. The fully sealed housing prevents the ingress of water and dirt and ensures smooth and long-lasting operation.
